This way you prevent water from penetrating into the pop up boilie , which reduces the buoyancy. To assemble a pop up I make a large loop after which I form a small loop in the large loop. Then I put the end through the small and large loop a few times and pull it together. You now have a noose with which you can perfectly loop the hookbait.
