Each Carp Whisperer Swivel is electroplated. This treatment makes the steel used harder and more durable, giving the cable glands their extra strong and permanent matt black color. This is in contrast to the cheaper swivels that are provided with a coating that quickly disappears after a few fishing times. Make no mistake, a swivel is an important link between you and the carp, because losing your dream fish because the swivel is of inferior quality, we want to prevent that at all times! While testing the different types of cable glands, we soon found out that hardly any cable glands achieved the pulling force we preferred. Let alone that the standard coated cable glands have good rotational resistance.
