A bead that sits fairly tightly on the leader due to its tapered passage. With this bead between the rig and lead, the distance of the rig relative to the lead can be determined. With soft bottoms or, for example, with a lot of weed growth, the hooklink can therefore be positioned far from the lead. That way the bait is not in the soft bottom or deep in the weed. The bead can be placed on the leader by means of a splicing needle or boilie needle. The material of the bead is flexible so that the passage remains intact.
