The Spomb X Pro Grey 8+1 Braid 300m has been designed as the ultimate spod braid for long range spombing and spodding. Allowing you to cast even the largest spombs and spombs at huge distance with ease, cast after cast, this spod braid is a must have addition to your carp fishing tackle.
This Spomb X Pro Spod Braid features an 8 plus 1 carrier construction to make a round super supple braid. Spomb have paid special attention to this spod braid to ensure that it is plenty powerful enough to cast large spombs, but still has a fine diameter to ensure that you can still cast distance. With a diameter of just 0.18mm and a breaking strain of 24lb, this braided fishing line will flow easily through the rings of your spod rod with minimal friction allowing you to cast further with no extra effort! This Spomb X Pro Spod Braid also offers superior knot strength, allowing for secure and reliable connections between your spod, leader and braided fishing line. The advantage of using a braided fishing line such as the Spomb X Pro Grey Spod Braid over monofilament, is that this braided fishing line has virtually no strength, allowing you to transfer the power of the cast through the entirety of the spod rod. Furthermore, this Spomb X Pro Grey Spod Braid is incredibly abrasion resistant so will not get damaged over repeated casts.
A great advantage of this Spomb Spod Braid is the buoyant and floating nature of the spod braid. This allows it to sit high in the surface film of the water, which makes it easier to pick up and retrieve your spomb/spod. This Spomb X Pro Spod Braid is a grey colour, allowing you to easily see it, even in the lowest light conditions. Spomb recommends using this Spomb X Pro Spod Braid with a Spomb leader. This is in order to take the force of the cast, and the team find that a back-to-back grinner knot is the best way to attach this to your setup. With 300m on each spool of Spomb X Pro Grey 8+1 Spod Braid you’ll be able to spool up your spod reel more than once – so long as you use a backing on your spool first.
